Drop Cloth Curtains {big lots}

..I'm sure many of you have seen them used before,
Drop Cloth Curtains..

#1- I love the look of them.
#2- I love that they are so easy to do.
#3- I love that they are cheap! {it only cost me $20.50 to make, including the clips}

Here are my drop cloth curtains I used in the spare bedroom {future child's room}

All you need to make these are
a 9x12 drop cloth (I got mine from Big Lots! for $15)
a pair of scissors (I cut mine in half to make 2 panels)
a set of curtain rod clips (I got mine at Big Lots! for $5.50)
a sewing machine (nothing fancy, u just have to be able to sew a straight line :)
----
First thing I did was wash and dry the large piece of drop cloth.

Then I took some sharp scissors and cut the piece in half, making {2} panels of 9x6
I then hemmed the cut sides to make it look neat :)

After hemming, I IRONED them.

I measured from my curtain rod to the floor to see what length they would have to be (mine were 7 ft..)

Since they were a tad long I folded the cloth over..

Next you just clip them evenly apart and hang.

<3 Don't you love easy rainy day projects like these??... Especially since it's CHEAPPP :)
And I love the fact that they were already HEMMED! YAY!

Thankyou for stopping by~~Hope you enjoyed your stay at the J-House.

  2. I use a drop cloth for my bedroom curtains too! I know you folded them over at the top because of length, but I actually love the dimension it adds, rather than just hanging flat like mine are. Looks like I'll have to do some tweaking and copy you. :)
